Happy and Healthy Mompreneur Fund,  Realizing the lack of direct financial grant assistance available to women wishing to start their own businesses, we decided to set-up the Happy and Healthy Mompreneur Fund. 10% of direct purchases of Luz Selenia from our site will go into the fund, up to $500 annually. Each year, one mompreneur will be chosen as a recipient of the grant funds. Next application is due by August 31, 2010 and will be awarded in October, 2010 during women entrepreneur's week.

The Amber Grants,  Finding money to start a small business - especially money for women entrepreneurs and start-ups is not easy - so we thought we would try to help a bit!  Our primary focus is assisting women who are trying to start small businesses, home-based or online. The grants are small, usually $500 to
$1000, and are intended to be used to upgrade equipment, pay for a web site etc - the small but
essential expenses that can often make the difference between getting started or being forever
stalled.

Eileen's Business Grant Program for Women Entrepreneurs, this program will give five women-owned companies with grants of $10,000 each. At least one of these grants will go to a start-up organization (or an organization that's less than 3 years old), and the rest will go to organizations that need funds to grow.

Halstead Bead Inc, Business Developement Grant is calling for entries to its third annual Business Development Grant competition for new designers entering the bridge jewelry trade. The grant will be awarded to a winning candidate in August. The winner of the 2008 Grant will receive $6,000 in cash and merchandise as well as other benefits.

The program provides college scholarships coupled with career development and leadership training for low-income and formerly homeless mothers. With financial aid and the support of an "extended family" to help them achieve their academic goals, the Scholars have the opportunity to forge a permanent path out of poverty for themselves and their families.

The Girls Going Places® Entrepreneurship Award Program is Guardian's annual initiative designed to reward the enterprising spirits of girls ages 12 to 18. Guardian awards prizes to 15 girls who demonstrate budding entrepreneurship; are taking the first steps toward financial independence; and make a difference in their schools and communities.  

Prizes totaling $30,000 are granted to three top winners and 12 finalists each year, to further their entrepreneurial pursuits or save for college.

Investing In Women Micro Grant Program for $500

The Investing In Women(IIW) Grant is for starting or growing a business.  The following terms and guidelines are applied to ALL submissions. 

Grant includes $500.00 US, and a banner ad on the IIW site for 6 months.

Businesses will be judged on sustainability, innovation and use of funds.

It is open to women business owners, ages 18+, who are residents of all 50 states of the United States of America. 

Applicants must follow the guidelines to be eligible. For guidelines, CLICK HERE.  

The grant winner and business will be mentioned in several news articles concerning the grant.

Applications must be submitted with true and verifiable information.

There is no application fee to apply for the grant.  There are no third parties involved in the grant process.  If you are asked to pay for any part of this application, be advised that the request is not from IIW and should not be paid.

Submissions for the grant will only be accepted via Adobe PDF or Word.doc file.

docx files will not be accepted.

Submissions are electronic in our respect for the environment.

The deadline to apply for the grant is 12 Noon PST on September 30, 2009.   Applications received after this time will be discarded.

The Grant winner will be decided and notified by November 1, 2009. 

The Awarded Grant will be paid via PayPal Electronic Funds.  You will need a PayPal account to receive the grant.

No information regarding grant applications will be given to anyone, other than the panel that selects the final application for grant awards. All information submitted is considered confidential and will not be used for any purpose other than this grant competition. No information, including email addresses, will be shared with any third parties for any reason.

  If you are not awarded the grant, you may apply again when the next grant is available. However, your entry will not be saved. You must reapply each time and submit a new application.  Grant Winners may not reapply.

 

 

 

 

 

 
 

Investing In Women Micro Grant Guidelines

All applicants must be a woman or women, 18+ years of age and reside in one of the 50 United States.

 

 You must have provide the following in your application:

Proof of business ownership, This can be either a valid Tax ID number,State or City Business License and or a Valid Sellers Permit for business in the USA.

An Explanation* of why you should receive the grant.

 

  *You should include the following in your Explanation:

What is your business Mission Statement?

When did you start your business?

What will the grant be used for? Include details of each expense.

How will the grant encourage your business growth?

What is the Point of Distinction, POD, in your business?

Point of Distinction, POD, refers to what makes your business different than others in your industry.

How will your business improve the economy or the lives of others?

 

  What NOT to include in the Grant:  You do not have to disclose your race or religion. Race and or religion will not be used in any decision of who receives the grant.

 

Grant Application Deadline is September 30, 2009. 

Grant will be awarded November 1, 2009.
